Baseball

• Southeast camps: The Southeast Missouri State baseball program will host six camps between December and February at Houck Field House. They are designed for boys age 8 through seniors in high school and cost $95 per camp. Two fundamental camps for age 8 through 12 will take place Dec. 6 to 7 and Dec. 13 to 14. They will cover hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning and offensive strategy. A pitcher and catcher camp is Jan. 10, and a hitting camp is Jan. 11. Both sessions are designed for age 13 through seniors in high school. Two prospect camps for age 13 through seniors in high school are Jan. 24 and 25 and Feb. 7 and 8. Basketball

• Girls youth league: Registration is open for the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department's girls youth basketball league. Games will be played Saturdays, beginning Jan. 10. There is a mandatory coaches meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Osage Community Centre. The league will have four divisions -- first- and second-graders; third- and fourth-graders; fifth- and sixth-graders; and seventh- and eighth-graders. Cost: $325 per team. Deadline: Friday. • Points for Pizza: The 11th annual Points for Pizza hot shot contest will take place Nov. 22 at the multipurpose building, located by Jackson High School. Boys and girls ages 9 to 17 are invited to compete for pizzas and Gatorade. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Info: Jackson Parks and Recreation, 204-8848.
• Men's league: Registration is open for the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department's men's basketball league. The league will be comprised of five divisions. Games will be played Monday through Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings and afternoons and Sunday afternoons and evenings. They will be played at the A.C. Brase Arena and the Osage Community Centre. A team must have at least five players. There will be a managers meeting Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Osage Community Centre. Deadline: Dec. 8. Cost: $300 per team. • Women's league: Registration is open for the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department's women's basketball league. Cheerleading

• Sunbeams clinic: The Southeast Missouri State cheerleaders will hold a Sunbeams clinic for girls ages 4 to 12 at the Student Rec Center. It will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Friday session is for ages 7 to 12 only, while the Saturday session is for the entire age group. All Sunbeams will perform at halftime of Southeast's football game Saturday, which starts at 1 p.m. The clinic will feature skill instruction for cheer, including chants, motions and jumps. Football

• Mizzou watch party: The Southeast Missouri Black and Gold Chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association will host a watch party Nov. 29 to watch the Tigers play Kansas. The party starts at 11 a.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cape Girardeau. Info: Larry Simon, 270-1487.

Soccer

• Saint Francis tournament: The 15th annual Saint Francis Indoor Soccer Invitational will take play Jan. 2 to 4 at the Show Me Center. The tournament is open to boys and girls born on or after Aug. 1, 1990. It will use the following age divisions -- male U-8 through U-18 and female U-8 through U-18. There is a maximum of 18 players on each roster, and play will be 6 on 6 for ages 14 to 18, and 7 on 7 for ages 8 to 13. Each team is guaranteed three games. Cost: $235 per team before Friday; $270 per team after Friday. Info: 651-2297.

Tennis

• Turkey Day Tournament: The Cape Area Tennis Association will hold its annual Turkey Day tennis tournament Nov. 22 and 23 at the Class Act Family Fitness Center in Jackson.
