Baseball/softball

Holiday camps: Real Baseball Instincts in Jackson will conduct four one-week holiday camps beginning Monday. The camps are for baseball and softball players ages 6 and older. Mondays will cover hitting, Tuesdays pitching, Wednesdays catching and Thursdays softball hitters. There also will be another hitting session for baseball and softball on Saturdays. The sessions will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. during the week, with the Saturday sessions from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for softball and 1 to 2:30 p.m. for baseball. The deadline to sign up is Sunday. Southeast winter clinics: The Southeast Missouri State softball program will hold its winter clinics in November, January and February. The clinics, at Houck Field House, are for girls ages 8 through 18. Session I, for hitting, is Nov. 27. Session II, for pitching and hitting, is Jan. 21 and 22. Session III, for pitching and hitting, is Jan. 28 and 29. Session IV, for pitching, hitting and catching, is Feb. 4 and 5.
