* Capahas auction: The annual Plaza Tire Capahas auction will be April 10 at the American Legion Hall on Thomas Drive in Cape Girardeau. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with the auction beginning at 9 a.m. A wide variety of items will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Capahas, among the nation's oldest amateur baseball teams. * Southeast winter clinics: The Southeast Missouri State softball program will hold its annual winter clinics for girls ages 8 through 18 at Houck Field House. * Optimist league: The Jackson boys Optimist Wrestling Little League will hold sign-ups for boys in grades kindergarten through 6 at the Jackson High School multipurpose gym. Registration will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The league will run from Feb. 22 to March 24 with a tournament March 25 to 27. Cost: $40.
