AREA BRIEFS: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE IS FORMING

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting teams for their 2000 women's basketball league. Games that will be played on Wednesday evenings at Centenary Methodist.Cost is $192 per team. The 2000 league is scheduled to begin Jan. 12. There will be a managers meeting at the Osage Community Centre on Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. There is a minimum of five teams needed in order for the league to go.For more information, or to register your team, contact Chris at the Parks and Recreation Department at 335-5421.
