AREA BRIEFS: GOLF TOURNEY BENEFITS MD, RED CROSS

The Cape Girardeau Association of Life Underwriters will hold its sixth annual charity golf tournament and barbecue June 4 at the Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the American Red Cross.

The tournament has a scramble format. Lunch and a gift will be provided to every entrant. Tee times are reserved in order of entry fees received. The field is limited to the first 25 foursomes. The registration deadline is May 25. Donation is $60 per player.
