AREA BRIEFS: CAPAHA CLASSIC RUN

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department, along with Merrill Lynch and Pepsi, will hold the 11th annual Capaha Classic 5,000-meter run and children's one-mile run July 11.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. at Capaha Park. All ages are welcome.

Entry fees for the 5K are $7.35 pre-registered and $8.40 late. The first 120 entries receive Capaha Classic T-shirts.

Entry fees for the one-mile run are $4.20 just for the run and $7.35 for the run and a T-shirt.

Many awards and trophies will be given out for both divisions.
