AREA BRIEFS: BASEBALL CAMPS SLATED

Cape Girardeau will be the site of three baseball camps starting in the next several days.

--A Player-Parent-Coach Hitting Seminar (ages 9-18), set for Sunday at Cape Central High, will feature former major-league player and manager Jim Lefebvre. Cost is $15.

--The Dick Birmingham Summer Baseball Camp (boys and girls, ages 7-13) will be held next Monday through Friday at Arena Park. Birmingham is noted as one of the top instructors in the country. Cost is $55.

---The Baseball Super Camp (ages 13-17) will be held next Monday through Friday at Cape Central High. Instructors will include Lefebvre, college coach Todd Becker, noted high school coach Bill Olson and local high school coach Steve Williams of Cape Central. Cost is $220.
