AREA BRIEFS: BASEBALL CAMPS SCHEDULED

Cape Girardeau will be the site of three baseball camps in early June.

--A Player-Parent-Coach Hitting Seminar (ages 9-18), set for June 1 at Cape Central High, will feature former major-league player and manager Jim Lefebvre. Cost is $15.

--The Dick Birmingham Summer Baseball Camp (boys and girls, ages 7-13) will be held June 2-6 at Arena Park. Birmingham is noted as one of the top instructors in the country. Cost is $55.

---The Baseball Super Camp (ages 13-17) will be held June 2-6 at Cape Central High. Instructors will include Lefebvre, college coach Todd Becker, noted high school coach Bill Olson and local high school coach Steve Williams of Cape Central. Cost is $220.
