ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams rookie safety Adam Archuleta spent Sunday night in a hospital as a precautionary measure after sustaining his second concussion in three weeks.

Coach Mike Martz said Monday that initial tests came out well for Archuleta, injured in the Rams' 27-14 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, but said further tests were needed over the next few days.

"If we're going to err, we're going to err on the side of caution," Martz said. "There's probably very little chance that he'll play this week, regardless of how the tests come out."

Archuleta sustained a concussion and severely sprained ankle Nov. 18 at New England. He missed the next two games because of the ankle, but played in a reserve role against the 49ers.
