The fourth annual Capaha Field Committee Baseball Camp will be held June 11-12 at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau.
Ages are 7 through 16. The cost is $50. Times are 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. both days, with lunch served at noon the second day. All campers will also receive a T-shirt.
Some of the instructors for the camp will be many of the area's head coaches, including Southeast Missouri State University's Mark Hogan, the Capahas' Jess Bolen, Cape American Legion's Ron Michel, Three Rivers Community College's Stacey Burkey, Cape Central's Steve Williams, Notre Dame's Gregg Muench, Chaffee's Bruce Qualls and Anna-Jonesboro's Rick Bittle.
Other instructors will include former Cape American Legion manager Doc Yallaly, Cory Crosnoe and Darrick Smith of Cape Central's coaching staff and many players from the Capahas and other area teams.
"We've got a great group of instructors," said Bolen. "All aspects of the game will be covered, with the concentration on fundamentals, sportsmanship and team play."
Bolen emphasized that all proceeds from the camp will go toward the upkeep and improvement of Capaha Field.
