The honors keep piling up for the Southeast Missouri State football team.
Southeast garnered three more All-American accolades as The Sports Network announced its Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) squads on Wednesday.
Senior tailback Henry Harris made The Sports Network All-American first team, with senior offensive guard Frank Knights a second-team selection and senior center Sean Middleton a third-team pick.
Harris earned his third All-American honor of the season. He was also selected to the Walter Camp team and the Associated Press second-team.
Harris, the Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the year, rushed for a single-season school record 1,735 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Knights earned his first All-American honor while Middleton garnered his second after previously being named to the Associated Press third team.
Knights and Middleton, like Harris first-team all-OVC picks, were part of an offensive line that led the nation in sacks allowed (0.50 per game). The Redhawks also led the OVC and ranked third nationally in rushing offense (265.1 yards per game).
Harris, Knights and Middleton helped the Redhawks post one of the best seasons in program history. Southeast (9-3) tied the school record for wins while capturing its first OVC title and earning its first playoff berth.
Eight OVC players made The Sports Network All-American teams, with Tennessee State senior safety Eugene Clifford joining Harris on the first unit.
