"Adding Mary to our staff will bring great knowledge and experience from the Junior Olympic program," Ewasko said in a release. "She is fairly new to the college arena and has a desire to learn and absorb as much information as she can. She will bring great knowledge and experience for our bar team while being able to assist with recruiting and practice planning duties."

Fredericks was a member of the U.S. team that won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games and she helped the squad earn a bronze medal at the 1995 World Championships. She was an alternate on the 1996 U.S. Olympic team.

Fredericks has coached with several gymnastics clubs in Nevada and Utah, training gymnasts of all ages and levels.
