ORAN, Mo. — Second-seeded East Prairie leaned on scrappy defense and an offensive outburst from Kamron Farmer, who poured in a career-high 22 points, to secure a decisive 64-43 win over seventh-seeded Oran in the opening round of the Scot-Mississippi Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 27.
“We didn’t play our best,” said East Prairie coach Gary Scott. “It just felt like we were a little out of sync tonight. I feel like we played well enough defensively to keep us in it and Kamron Farmer played well for us. He was key in leading us to victory tonight.”
East Prairie (15-3) will face third-seeded Scott City (15-3) in a semifinal on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7:45 p.m., while Oran (6-11) will take on sixth-seeded Chaffee (6-11) in the consolation bracket on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
