MATTHEWS -- William Lee Armstrong, 86, Matthews Route 1, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Beach Bluff, Tenn., son of Joe and Cora Emmaline Crowder Armstrong. He and Sallie Ophelia Johnson were married Aug. 22, 1927. She died Nov. 13, 1982...

The Missouri Highway Patrol identified a Qulin man as the victim of a one-car accident Tuesday. The patrol said Nathaniel Carter, 28, was killed at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Butler County when his car left Highway 142 near Neelyville, hit a tree and caught fire and burned...

The Southeast Missouri Easter Seal Society has the fourth annual "Christmas in Southeast Missouri" ornament at its office at 316 S. Plaza Way ready to be hung on the Christmas tree. Every year the organization has depicted a structure representative of Southeast Missouri on its solid brass ornament. About 65 entries are expected to tootle down Broadway Sunday in the second annual Christmas Parade of Lights.
