FARMINGTON -- Edgar Earl Chamberlain, 87, of Farmington, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1993, at Parklane Health Center here. He was born Sept. 11, 1906, at Knob Lick, son of William E. and Mary E. Black Chamberlain. He was married to Mildred Herbst, who preceded him in death April 25, 1971. He then married Ethel Kaiser, who preceded him in death Aug. 30, 1993...

Cape Girardeau fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that apparently started on or beneath an outdoor table behind a residence at 1520 N. Clark early Thursday. Fire Capt. Don Smith said the fire went up the wall of the home into the overhang and burned its way into the attic by the time firefighters were able to knock it down...

A combination of wind, low humidity and unseasonably mild temperatures this week has resulted in a series of grass and field fires in parts of Southeast Missouri. DONGOLA, Ill. -- Ernest Graziani, 73, of Dongola, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 1994, at his home. He was born April 4, 1920, in Steger, son of Alfred and Maria Caruso Graziani. He and Leola Allison were married May 24, 1947. She died Aug. 27, 1993. Graziani was a member of First Lutheran Church here, VFW Post 8283 of Steger, Dongola Masonic Lodge 581, Chicago Heights Lodge 851, Scottish Rite Bodies, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar, and Madonna Shrine Temple.
