Woods - 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Woods of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at their home Dec. 30, 2008.

Woods and Carolyn Ann Schoen were married Dec. 30, 1958, in St. Louis.

Woods was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a first sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War.

The couple has three sons, Gary Woods of Fredericksburg, Va., Charles Woods of Sycamore, Ill., and Jerry Woods of Festus, Mo. They have eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
