Wilsons are married 60 years

The Rev. and Mrs. Elvis Wilson of Valrico, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 2, 2006.

The couple and their children hosted a dinner party at the Featherock Mobile Home Park Community Center in Valrico.

Wilson and Mary Lou Benson were married June 2, 1946, in Owensville, Ind., by the Rev. Onis Chapman. Their attendants were Ben and Marcia Thompson.

Wilson was pastor of First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau from 1966 to 1977.

The Wilsons have four children, Debbie Carlton, Richard Wilson, Beckie Figliolo and Charles "Chuck" Wilson, all of Cape Girardeau. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
