Wessel - 40 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wessel of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Jan. 10 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

Wessel and Linda Cunningham were married Jan. 10, 1970, at First Baptist Church in Chaffee, Mo.

A retired teacher and coach from Chaffee High School, he is employed by Co-Op Service Centers. Mrs. Wessel is a wound ostomy nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

They have two children, Steven (Jill) Wessel and Jamie (Shawn) Nix of Chaffee. They have four grandchildren, Lilly and Zeke Wessel and Andrew and Eli Nix.
