Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vinyard of Jackson recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner at their home, hosted by their children.

Vinyard and Marie Niswonger were married July 18, 1942, at First Baptist Church in St. Louis by the Rev. Floyd V. Sams. Their parents are the late Charles and Lula Vinyard and Frank and Ivy Niswonger.

Their attendants were Hassel and Elizabeth Looney, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

The Vinyards have three children, Wayne (Nina) Vinyard of Glenwood, Wash., Max (Gayle) Vinyard of Gilroy, Calif., and Mary (David) Wright of Gilbert, Ariz.

They have five grandsons, Bob, Stephen, Andrew, Jonathan and Tom; three granddaughters, Joy, Ivy and Katy; and four great-grandsons, Sterling, Brandon, Skyler and Ryan.
