Venable - 60 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Venable of Jackson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 30, 2012.

Venable and Susan La Pierre were married May 30, 1952, at Mac Murray College in Jacksonville, Ill. She graduated June 1.

The Venables have lived in Jackson 60 years.

They have five children, Daryl (Cheryl) of Nashville, Tenn., Eric (Martha) of Jackson, Stuart (Bobbie) of Springfield, Mo., Linda (Stephen) Vanamburg of Jackson, and Steven (Cheryl) of Marietta, Ga. The couple has six grandchildren, Marisa (Chris) Meyer, Jeb (Laura) Venable, Jessica (Darin) Teague, Isaac (Amber) Venable, Major Venable, Nate Venable; and a great-grandson, Tucker Teague.
