He farmed and operated a trucking business in Bollinger County many years. They are members of Patton United Methodist Church.
They have four children, Carol (Mike) Cochran of Cape Girardeau, Danny (Rose) Tallent of Patton, Kenny (Phyllis) Tallent of Omaha, Neb., and Rocky (Becky) Tallent of Patton. The couple has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
