Sullinger and Judy Vangennip were married Oct. 28, 1960, in Advance.

They have three sons, Bryan (Dana) Sullinger and Kevin Sullinger of Advance, and Bill (Carisa) Sullinger of Cape Girardeau. The couple has eight grandchildren.
