Schlimperts married 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schlimpert of Jackson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 19, 2006, with Lawrence and Leona Schlimpert of St. Louis and Edgar and Melba Schlimpert of Concordia, Mo.

The brothers and their wives have all been married 60 or more years. Lawrence and Leona were married Nov. 17, 1945. Edgar and Melba were married Jan. 1, 1945.

Clarence and Wilma Lange were married April 21, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, Mo. Their attendants were Berniece Schlimpert and Edgar Lorenz.

They have two children, Rod Schlimpert of Mineral Point, Wis., Brenda McCowan of Cape Girardeau; and two grandsons, Michael McCowan of St. Louis and Jeffrey McCowan of Cape Girardeau.
