SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Lucas J. and Alice A. Ressel of Scott City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 25, 2002.
An anniversary mass was held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo., with Msgr. Oliver Clavin officiating. Organist was Betty Ressel and soloist was Walter Seyer.
Ushers were Jason Ressel, Jeremy Wade, Travis Estes and Ryan Ellinger. Mass servers were Derek Ressel, Cody Page and Clayton Hall. Giftbearers were Madelyn Ressel, Lindsey Ressel, Macy and Marissa Hall. Lector was Jim Wade. Programs were handed out by Eric Uhrhan and Alex Ressel.
Following the service, a dinner, reception and dance was held at the parish center. Servers were Colette Ressel Hendrickson and Cindy Stevens, godchildren of the couple.
Hosts were their children and spouses and grandchildren.
Ressel and Alice Alma Glastetter were married May 30, 1952, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Mo., by the Rev. Herbert Mellies.
Their attendants were Marcella Glastetter Kapfer, sister of the bride; Marian "Toots" Welter Holder, cousin of the bride; Lee Ressel Jones and Gertrude Ressel Williams, sisters of the groom; Marcus Ressel, brother of the groom; and Clyde Glastetter, brother of the bride.
Their children and spouses are: Bradley and Sandy Ressel, Diane and Kenny Page, Elaine and Tracy Estes, Sharon and Wesley Uhrhan, Dennis and Brenda Ressel, Brian and Connie Ressel, Vickie and Curtis Hall, Jeff and Amy Ressel, and Doug and Karen Ressel, all of Scott City, Linda and Jim Wade of Benton, Mo., Patrick and Craig Ressel of Chaffee, Mo., and Kevin and Yvonne Ressel of Nesbit, Miss.
The Ressels have 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
