Dr. Bower Aly, bringing forth the words of William Faulkner and Adlaie E. Stevenson to offer comfort in times of trouble, adds encouragement of his own by charging the State College graduating class in the evening to "remember who you are"; Aly, chairman of the Department of Speech of the University of Hawaii and a State College alumnus, is the college commencement speaker at Houck Stadium.

James Hartman is in charge of the lay service in the evening at the Methodist Church at Gordonville; guest speaker is Ron Hahs of Jackson; during the service, new officers of the Youth Fellowship are installed.

Brickwork has been about completed for the first-floor walls of a three-story brick apartment house being constructed by W.C. Bahn on Bellevue Street, just across from Houck Field Stadium.

Joe Crosby, advance man for the Jaycees rodeo, said the event will be staged at the new city park instead of Houck Field Stadium, as had been announced; he explained that arrangements are being made to bring in a number of horses here for a racing program, and that couldn't be held at the stadium; the rodeo will be June 7 and 8.

Memorials on the life of the late Judge Robert G. Ranney are held in Common Pleas Court; Sen. R.B. Oliver and Judge B.F. Davis make extended addresses laudatory of the character and judicial makeup of Ranney; nearly all other members of the bar pay their respects in brief but effective remarks.

BENTON, Mo. -- The Rev. C. Moenig of New Hamburg, Missouri, has purchased the real estate holding of Judge W.C. Lambert of Lambertville, Missouri; 600 acres of sandy land near Lambertville were transferred, and six houses and a number of lots there were included; also included was the farm at the Benton hill, where Andrew Thompson lives; the price paid for the entire property was $50,000.
