Robert A. Dempster, president of the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation, announces E. Gene Greable, a certified public accountant from Winnetka, Ill., will become the head of the organization for 1985-1986; Greable is a 1962 graduate of Southeast.

Elbert McFerron, 60, of Cape Girardeau suffers a dislocated left shoulder and possible other injuries when he receives an electrical shock while repairing a washing machine at Jackson; McFerron owns a washer sales and service firm in Jackson.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt approves Public Works Administration grants for $59,404 to assist in financing the construction of a sanitary sewer system in the west side of Cape Girardeau; city officials hope to receive bids on the project on or before Oct. 22.
