CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Citizens of Chaffee once again approved a $10,000 bond issue for construction of a fire station in a special election Tuesday, but only 15 more votes were obtained than the necessary two-thirds majority; earlier in June, the issue was given strong approval, but a Kansas City bonding company refused to accept the voting claiming the election was illegal because the publication requirements weren't met.
