Cape Girardeau Board of Education member Bob Fox is unhappy with decision allowing seniors who haven't completed requirements to participate in Central High School's graduation ceremony Friday; superintendent Neyland Clark last Friday decided seniors within one unit of graduation could participate.
Two annexation requests are pending before Cape Girardeau City Council; one involves property on Bloomfield Road, County Road 206 and Wolf Lane, on west side of Interstate 55; another petition seeks to annex property east of Cape Rock Drive and west of Old Sprigg Street Road.

MOUNDS, Ill. -- A $3.8-million project to construct new elementary school complex at Mounds is scheduled for completion in 1980 or 1981, and district superintendent Ed Bridwell says it can't come too soon.
There is no apparent change in status of strike by Laborers Local 282, Cement Finishers 908 and Bricklayers Local 23, which has halted work on Marquette Cement plant and Sikeston power plant projects.

Viaduct over main line of Frisco Railroad and little Ramsey Creek south of Cape Girardeau on Highway 61 will be paved this summer; arrangements for paving viaduct gap in route are being worked out with Rouse Construction Co. of Cape Girardeau.
