A five-member citizens group, headed by Dr. Raymond A. Ritter Sr. and real estate agent Thomas L. Meyer, would like to place before city voters in a Nov. 6 election the question of whether the proposed multipurpose building should be constructed on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.
The asphalt surface which is being removed from Kingshighway in preparation for the repaving of that major arterial street will be hauled to city park roads, where it will be spread, graded and rolled down as a cold mix.
