Dr. Rick Bradley is the new pastor at Bloomfield Road Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau; Bradley, 32, is a native of Houston and has been preaching since he was 13.

Reinholdt & Gardner of St. Louis and Cape Girardeau was selected by the Jackson R-2 School Board last night to buy bonds for the construction of a junior high school; district voters approved the $715,000 bond issue last November; the funds will pay for land, construction and equipment for the junior high.
Right-of-way clearance for the Highway 61 reconstruction through Cape Girardeau is expected to begin early next week; contractor for the total $1,672,698 road improvement is the R.B. Potashnick-D.L. Harrison Co. of Cape Girardeau; when completed, the highway will be four lanes of undivided pavement with an asphalt surface.
