The president of Clemson University, former Cape Girardean Dr. Bill L. Atchley, says he has resigned as president because the school's board of trustees wouldn't support him in efforts to make changes that would correct problems that have plagued Clemson's athletic programs over the past 10 years.
The Cape Girardeau County Commission is considering eliminating age restrictions on fishing at Cape County Park lakes, it is revealed at a meeting of commission members and a Missouri Conservation Department agent.
