The business name of Danver's Restaurant, 2123 Broadway, has been changed to Baker's Restaurant; John A. Baker is the managing partner of the business; the Baker name has been associated with restaurants here for two generations; Baker's parents operated Baker's Big Burger in downtown Cape Girardeau for many years.
Rose City Oil Co. is occupying new quarters in the historic Kage house, 120 Broadway; the structure has been renovated to house the corporate office.
An attempt is being made to reorganize the Golden Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, which at one time was very active and brought high honors to Cape Girardeau; Alfred Jones will head a committee to determine the interest of reviving the corps, which was sponsored by the Louis K. Another store will be added to Cape Girardeau's list of business houses next week; Mrs. N.E. Billau and Mrs. Galen A. Vance, sisters from Mattoon, Ill., will relocate here, having recently both lost their husbands; the pair will open a five-and-ten-cent store on the ground floor of the telephone building, corner of Broadway and Ellis Street.
