Tractor-trailer strikes bridge, plunges off 10-foot embankment, and jackknifes, hurling its driver into ditch containing foot of water, on Highway 25 south of Delta; driver, Wilbert G. Bailey of St. Louis, is unhurt; it is believed Bailey dosed off at wheel.

Formal announcement is made of purchase by E.W. Flentge, president of Roth Tobacco Co., and associates of common stock holdings in company of Charles F. Fluhrer of Cape Girardeau and his brothers, John L. Fluhrer and Chester L. Fluhrer of Boonville, Ind.
Mrs. Dan Gilder, 60, is nursing broken left arm; she was injured yesterday when she fell from second-story porch at her home at Good Hope and Hanover streets; Gilder was cleaning floor of porch, when she slipped and fell against railing, which collapsed and allowed her to fall to ground, 12 feet below.
