Approximately $225 in merchandise and money is stolen by busy burglars in Cape Girardeau city and county; seven establishments in the city are either entered or attempts are made to gain entrance to them, and the L.C. Rau general store at Dutchtown is broken into.
Al Jaynes announces the good news that he has arranged for a company in Cairo, Ill., to raise the sunken ferry Warsaw and bring it back to Cape Girardeau; as the machinery wasn't damaged in the mishap, it should be a comparatively short time until the good old boat is doing business between this town and the Illinois shore.
