Dr. Ronald L. Robinson has been elected president of the medical staff of Saint Francis Medical Center, replacing Dr. James R. Dzur; Robinson opened his practice in Cape Girardeau in October 1978 in Doctors Park.
Cape Girardeau's proposed Cape LaCroix Creek flood-control work is among three water projects for Southeast Missouri approved by the U.S. House of Representatives as part of a $20 million package; the $18.7 Cape Girardeau item represents the federal share for a major project designed to protect the city's west side from periodic flash flooding.
