Patty Lou Fisher represented Cape Girardeau on Friday as this community's queen at the Ohio River bridge dedication at Cairo, Ill.; she was one of a group of 30 girls from which the queen of the festival was chosen that evening at a ball; Louella Cravens, 18, of New Madrid, Mo., was crowned "Queen of Queens."

V.J. Clemens, Main Street merchant, announces he will move his jewelry store from where it has been 16 years, to 137 N. Main Street, to occupy part of the space of his new building there; the move will be made early in the new year; Stokes drugstore will remain in the Main Street space nearest to Broadway, and Clemens' store will be next door to it.

1913

Mrs. Katherine Doyle died last night of injuries received that morning, when she was run down by a trolley car on South Spanish Street, while on her way to attend early Mass at St. Vincent's Catholic Church; Doyle, 66, was the widow of Leo Doyle; she is survived only by her sister, nieces and nephews.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Naeter and George and Nora Naeter return from Quincy, Ill., where they had taken the remains of their mother, Mrs. Mary Naeter, for burial.
