Representatives of the newly-formed Cape Centre Chamber of Commerce tell the executive board of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce that Centre Chamber would disband and merge with the other group, if certain provisions are met by the older chamber.

Emil C. Koeppel has resigned as operator of Cape Girardeau's street-sweeping machine, after doing that work 8 1/2 years; in that time, Koeppel has driven sweeping machines around 63,700 miles.
Harvey C. Jones, who at present is in charge of the Miller and Kinder Drug Store in Haarig, will take over management of the Quality Drug Store, in which he recently bought a half interest; Jones says he has leased the room in the Grissom building, next door to the Hassinger jewelry store, and will move into it as soon as possible; he'll change the name of the business to the H.C. Jones Drug Co.
The Rev. H.M. Murtaugh, C.M., nephew of the Rev. James Murtaugh of St. Vincent's College, who has been visiting his uncle the past week, preaches a fine sermon at St. Vincent's Church; young Murtaugh is in the missionary service of the church.
