Mr. and Mrs. Tom Nebel of Clarksville, Tenn., are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today with a family gathering.
Nebel and Susan Spindler were married July 31, 1971, at First Presbyterian Church in Manitowoc, Wis., by the Rev. G.J. Zanotti.
He is the son of Calvin and Gladys Nebel, formerly of Benton, Mo. She is the daughter of John and Florence Spindler of Manitowoc.
Nebel is a graduate of Kelly High School, received a bachelor of science degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, and a master's degree from Lindenwood University. He was a pilot with the U.S. Air Force, and retired from Hewlett-Packard.
Mrs. Nebel is a graduate of Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis. The Nebels are active at Grace Lutheran Church.
The Nebels have three children, Matthew Nebel of Columbus, Ohio, Olivia (Jesse) Riha of Houston, Texas, and Dr. Elizabeth Vassey of Bennington, Vt. They have two granddaughters, Evelyn and Amanda.
