Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moyers of Cape Girardeau were honored with a dinner Feb. 6, 2010, in observance of their 67th wedding anniversary.

The event was held at their home, hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Nic Jiran.

The Moyers son, Brian and his wife Ronna led music with Brian on bass, Ronna on vocals and lead guitar, granddaughter Sarah McLemore on violin, grandson Christian Howell on percussion, and Mr. Moyers on harp. They played old-time love songs and Sarah played the Tennessee Waltz for the Moyers to dance. Vocalists were granddaughter Jaymie Nunnery, great-grandson Brian Nunnery, granddaughter Racheal Moyers, Emily and Nic Jiran, and Mrs. Moyers.

The Moyers were married Feb. 6, 1943, at Grace United Methodist Church parsonage, by the Rev. Miles Hargrove Stotts.

Their attendants were Evelyn McCoy and Walter E. Becker.
