In observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, Kenneth and Mary Morgan of Cape Girardeau renewed their vows June 29, 2002, at Bethany Baptist Church. The Rev. Donny Ford performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the Rev. Alan Berry of Farmington, Mo., son-in-law of the couple. Soloists were Marilyn Berry of Farmington and Melinda Winchester of Jackson, Mo., daughters of the couple.

Mrs. Morgan was presented in marriage by Bill Morgan of Cape Girardeau, son of the couple.

Matrons of honor were Marilyn Berry and Melinda Winchester. Bridesmaids were Abigale Berry and Billie Jo Morgan, granddaughters of the couple Abigale is the daughter of Alan and Marilyn Berry. Billie is the daughter of Bill and Melissa Morgan.

Flower girl was Alayna Berry, daughter of Alan and Marilyn Berry and granddaughter of the couple. Ringbearer was Colten Winchester, son of Cary and Melinda Winchester and grandson of the couple.

Serving as best men were Jerrick and Tyler Myers, sons of Cary and Melinda Winchester and grandsons of the couple. Groomsmen were Max Morgan and Boone Berry, grandsons of the couple. Max is the son of Bill and Melissa Morgan, and Boone is the son of Alan and Marilyn Berry.

Following the ceremony, the couple's children hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Servers were Evelyn Welter and Lucy Hunze of Cape Girardeau.

Mr. and Mrs. Morgan were married June 29, 1952, in El Dorado, Kan.

They have resided in Cape Girardeau since 1970. He retired as a soil conservationist engineer with the federal government. She retired as a registered nurse from Southeast Missouri Hospital. They are members of Bethany Baptist Church.

Among the guests attending was the matron of honor from the wedding, Linda Brown of Cape Coral, Fla., sister of the groom. Also attending was the ringbearer from 1952, Dan Morgan of Huntsville, Ala., nephew of the couple.

The Morgans have three children and eight grandchildren. Another granddaughter, Lexi Ramsey, is deceased.
