The Mays have three children, Sharlet (Roger) Giltner of Brookport, Illinois, James (Carrie) May III of Cape Girardeau, and Amanda (William) Ponder of Kelso.
They have six grandchildren, Roger and Joshua Giltner of Brookport, Katelin and James May IV of Cape Girardeau, and Olivia and Ella Ponder of Kelso.
