Kenneth and Merna Grigsby celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 5 at a luncheon held in their honor in the banquet room of Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau. The event was hosted by their son and his wife, Ken Grigsby and Mary Linda King, of San Jose, California.
The Rev. Stan Hargis, pastor of Hobbs Chapel, performed a vow renewal for the couple in the presence of 24 guests. Family and friends from Lebanon, Tennessee, St. Louis and the Cape Girardeau area shared memories and well wishes for the couple.
Merna and Kenneth were married March 5, 1947, in East Prairie, Missouri, by the Rev. Orby Beard.
