Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Fritzler of Cape Girardeau were honored with a dinner party June 9, 2006, in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

Hosts were their sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Marilyn Fritzler of Cape Girardeau, and Gary Fritzler of Cordova, Tenn.

Fritzler and Emalyn Schmidt were married June 9, 1946, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in White, S.D., by the Rev. Steppenhagen.

Their attendants were Marian Kruse, Shirley Stahla, John Fritzler and Bill Schmidt.

Fritzler was a barber 50 years, and the Kimball County, Neb., Veterans service officer 30 years. He served in the South Pacific during World War II, and his wife was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps.

The couple moved to Cape Girardeau in 2001 from Kimball.

They have four grandchildren.
