Mr. and Mrs. Robert Flannery of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner and dance July 18, 2009, at the American Legion Hall in Jackson.
Hosts were their children and grandchildren. Guests attended from Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Alice Crader of Warrenton, Mo., attended the guest book. Servers were Lois Seabaugh of Jackson, Laura Blankenship of Whitewater, and Beverly Bulle of Glasgow, Ky.
Flannery and Loyce Proffer were married July 18, 1959, at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Homer Almon. Rev. Almon performed the ceremony.
Their attendants were Joyce Proffer, twin sister of the bride, and William Flannery, brother of the groom.
The Flannerys have three children, Douglas (Kay) Flannery of Whitewater, Timothy (Cindy) Flannery of Marble Hill, Mo., and Joy (Mark) Owens of Whitewater. They have two grandchildren, Bridgett (Justin) Green of Jackson, Robert Flannery of Cape Girardeau; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Green of Jackson.
