Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elders of Scott City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception July 24, 2010, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.

Hosts were their children, Gary Elders of Warsaw, Ind., and Paula Innis of Germantown, Tenn.

Elders and Judy Crossen were married July 16, 1960, in Waterloo, Ill., by the Rev. H.R. Northcutt.

Their attendants were Jerry and Anita Nesbit Crossen, who were married at the same ceremony.

The Elders have six grandchildren, Caitlin, Hilary, Jacob and Samuel Elders of Warsaw, Eric Innis of Memphis, Tenn., and Nick Innis of Scott City. They have a great-granddaughter, Lily Elders of Warsaw.

They both retired in 2006, Mr. Elders from Blair Industries and Mrs. Elders from Lynwood Baptist Church.
