Dumeys together 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Dumey of Jackson were honored at a reception July 6, 2003, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hosts were their children and grandchildren. Guests attended from Cape Girardeau, Chaffee, Jackson, Marble Hill, Millersville, and Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; Anna and Springfield, Ill.

Dumey and Winifred Summers were married July 3, 1953, at the United Methodist Church in Chaffee, by the late Rev. Theodore Propst.

Their attendants, Elvira Urhahn, sister of the bride, and Robert Dumey, brother of the groom, were in attendance.

The couple's sons and spouses are Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dumey of Cape Girardeau and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dumey of Jackson. They have four grandchildren, Lindsey and Tyler Dumey of Jackson, Laura and Caitlyn Dumey of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandson, Kameron Dumey of Jackson.
