CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dowd of Chaffee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
Dowd and Linda Jones were married Oct. 29, 1960, at First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, by the Rev. Leland Butler. Their attendants were Nancy Montgomery Michelsen of Oran, Mo., and the late Ronald Dowd of Chaffee.

Dowd is a retired conductor with Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroad. Mrs. Dowd is editor of the Scott County Signal.
The couple has a son, Ed (Dawn) Dowd of Pooler, Ga. They have two grandchildren, Alexia and Austin Dowd.
