An editorial in Tuesday's Southeast Missouri incorrectly said that the Joint Veterans Council provided fireworks for last year's Fourth of July celebration in Cape Girardeau. That information was based on a previous news story, also incorrect, that said the Joint Veterans Council had been disbanded since last year's celebration. The Joint Veterans Council is made up of the commanders of all the veterans organizations in Cape Girardeau and coordinates activities such as the Memorial Day observance.
