Cooks celebrate

60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie A. Cook of Jackson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 7, 2007, by attending worship service with their family at Whitewater Methodist Church in Whitewater.

A reception was held later in the church hall, hosted by their children and spouses: Chaplain Jerry and Annette Cook of Slidell, La., Ron and Sandra Cook and Keith and Teresa Cook of Whitewater, and Shirley and Paul Bond of Cape Girardeau.

Cook and Ruby Marie Quade were married Jan. 11, 1947, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, by the Rev. Channing Miller.

Their attendants were Betty Quade Brucker, Ruby Cook Stroder, Clyde Quade and Alfred Chapman.

The couple has nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
