Broshuis and the former Agnes Jansen were married April 15, 1950, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. Their attendants were Loretta Blattel and George Broshuis.
The couple has seven children; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
